👍 Good to hear!
Luke OathamKeymasterSame here, Eduardo. We experienced quite a lot of problems when testing WordPress 5.5 before upgrading. The comments disappeared, intraverts stopped showing, the customiser didn’t work and even parts of the admin dashboard did not work.
Most issues will resolve if you update plugins. This WordPress update has changed the version of jQuery being used, and plugins using older jQuery code need to be updated.
I’m working on a fix for the GovIntranet comments. And we’re still testing before we roll out version WordPress 5.5 to clients.
First in line for updates will be our clients using GovIntranet 4.99 and then we’ll look at doing the work required to get the changes into version 4.39 – I’ll let you know progress on this.
Luke OathamKeymasterTo index manuals, you need to index custom fields in Relevanssi – on the indexing tab, select “visible” for custom fields.
Luke OathamKeymasterHi Neil
Are you indexing the tags in Relevanssi?
Screenshot attached of how to index the tags. You need to tick the relevant boxes in Relevanssi and then reindex.
Let me know if you still have problems. We’ve tested this on the latest 4.99 version.

Luke OathamKeymasterYou need the Page Excerpt plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-excerpt/
Once installed, pull down ‘Screen options’ in the editing screen to check the excerpt is visible.
Luke OathamKeymaster🙂 Can you let us know which version of PHP caused the problem?
Luke OathamKeymasterIt’s under Options, Modules, tasks and guides. Possible roadmap work ahead to make them prettier.
Luke OathamKeymasterThe events module uses Google Maps and you need a Google Maps API key to use this module.
Disable the events module until you have your key and then you’ll be able to switch on the Vacancies module.
Luke OathamKeymasterMain theme updates since 4.34 deal with auto expiry of news stories and events.
Some options (custom CSS and theme colours) have been moved to the WordPress customiser and away from the GovIntranet options – you may want to keep a copy of any custom CSS and colour settings just in case they get zapped!Luke OathamKeymasterHi Gavin,
You should be able to use the theme with the latest version of WP. The main concern would be your server. Your server needs to be running a minimum of PHP 5.6 in order to use the latest version of WP.
Hope that helps!
Luke OathamKeymasterHi Natalie,
Are you using a plugin for user avatars? If so, are users are signed in when commenting?
Luke OathamKeymasterIan – so sorry, the guidance is a little out of date. The new way of building a guide is to create a main task, then create other tasks and set their parent to be the main task. You can control the order of tasks within a guide using the Order number.
Luke OathamKeymasterThis is common symptom of copy that has been pasted from another system or MS Word etc. Do you have any hardcoded styles in your HTML text view?
Luke OathamKeymasterIn Options, Modules – have you got Events switched on? It should be off.
