Version 4.2.5 updates

There has been a flurry of updates over the past few months as a result of requests for enhancements and bug fixes. Here are some of the highlights:

Aggregator page template

This template allows you to build customised pages, similar in layout to the homepage, and configure automated and free-format areas. It was initially designed to promote teams, but can be put to other uses.

New options

Jumbo search box

On the homepage only, you can choose to display a jumbo search box to encourage staff to use the search function.  Available in Options, Search.

Search button override

Replace the default magnifying glass icon with text of your choice. Available in Options, Search.

News updates

A new post type and taxonomy allows you to promote categorised announcements such as “IT service updates” or “Building announcements”. Available in Options, Modules.

Sub-categories

Categories for tasks and guides are hierarchical, providing a further means of categorising content.

Start with tags open

You can choose to show tags on task category pages by default, instead of hiding them behind the “Browse tags” button. Available in Options, Modules, Tasks.

A to Z

Several improvements to the index display on the A to Z taxonomy templates. There are options to include and exclude words. Available in Options, Modules, A to Z.
