Version 4.39 updates

19 Dec 2017

This update adds more support for the customiser, allowing you to preview and schedule theme options.

Moved settings from Options to the core Customiser

Some settings have moved from the Options -> General tab to the core WordPress Customiser:

Updating to GovIntranet version 4.39 will copy any existing header logo and custom CSS settings to the appropriate customiser fields. These settings have been removed from the dashboard Options -> General tab.

Header logo is now available in Customiser -> Site Identity

To maintain flexible header logo sizes, I have not set default dimensions for the logo, so new logos must be resized to the required dimensions.

Custom CSS moved to Customiser -> Additional CSS

Warning: if you have any scheduled customiser changes, these could overwrite custom CSS code that is moved from the theme Options to the customiser as part of the update routine. Take a copy of any custom CSS before updating.

New CSS classes are available for styling and positioning the logo and site title:

.custom-logo-link
.site-title

Template updates

  • HTML article tag added to page and single templates to allow targeting custom CSS within the content area.
  • Downloads and comments functionality added to page templates.
  • “Home” breadcrumb link on staff profile templates is now more consistent.
