New “Most active” widget available

Further to recent problems with the Google Analytics API, the Most Active and Top Tags plugins have been updated to work with the new API. These are now available on Github.

You must enter your Google Analytics View ID in the widget. There is no longer any need to enter email or 2-step verification app-specific passwords.

When you first view the widget on the front end, you’ll need to authenticate with your Google Analytics account. Click on the button and you’ll be taken to an authentication screen. Once accepted, you’ll receive a code which you need to paste back into the field on the intranet front end. This is a one-time operation and you shouldn’t need to do it again.
