Do you have any documents in the media library using these category terms? Or Projects?

Pages that use the hashtags template will be indexed as usual, so the title, content area, keywords and excerpt will show up in search results.

However, pages that use the hashtags template do not replace the core “tag” template used in the theme. So even if you create a hashtags page using the “recruitment” tag, there will still be a standard tag page such as intranet.acme.co.uk/tag/recruitment which will provide listings by post type e.g. all news stories tagged recruitment, all events tagged recruitment…

The hashtags template is best suited to display posts that have a featured image, such as news and blog posts.

Sorry, there are no plans to include full posts in these listing widgets. This functionality is common on simple blog sites where the homepage tends to be a long list of complete blog posts. We work on the premise that the individual news story should be the single source for the full content; all other templates and widgets that list posts are simply a means to access the full content.

You can feature videos in news by changing the Post Format to Video. This gives you an extra option to place a video URL. Video posts will show a playable video in the feature news listing in place of the large thumbnail image.

Are you indexing tags in Relevanssi? Screenshot of settings attached.

There are some updates coming in version 4.37.3 to tidy tags in search results.

Hello. Sorry, all the custom fields are in code within the theme and I don’t have a standalone export available.

I’ll make a change to the background job to check for blank dates. Should be available next week.

    One more thing to try!

Can you go to Options, Modules, Events – check if the option to change past events to draft is on or off?

    A few questions:

Are you entering a closing time?
In settings, general, is the timezone set okay?
Is this happening for new vacancies?
Have you tried a test with news updates for example, to see if you get the same issue with a post that auto-expires in the future?

There’s a background process that runs every 5 minutes to clean up expiring news, news updates, events and vacancies. The closing date and time is used to check vacancies. In theory, any published vacancies with a closing date in the past will be set to draft.

What version did you update from?

Hi Patrik, good to hear from you. I *think* I’ve updated your permissions. Could you try to login again?

I haven’t updated the translation files on Glotpress for a little while, so expect some additions and changes over the coming weeks 😉

Yes I would stop using the archive plugin. But you’re relatively protected within an intranet, and unless you have a member of staff operating malevolently outside of the civil service code, I wouldn’t say this was high risk.

I’ve been reading research showing that staff rarely trawl back through news archives, and some intranets have removed “News” as a main option. However, for continuity or filling in background information for a particular story or campaign, categorisation and tags can help.

You can use news type, tags and teams to categorise news. Staff will be able to navigate archives by type or tag, and individual news stories will highlight recommended stories based on similar categorisations. You can use the feature news widget to highlight different flavours of news on the homepage, or the aggregator template can showcase news by team.

The plugin is a simple method of giving access to archive listings via a dropdown menu of years, but doesn’t actually “archive” anything. We have since stopped using the plugin after finding security vulnerabilities a while back.

Are you looking for a way to clear down old stories?

Recent update to ACF 5.6.0 was the cause! This is fixed in GovIntranet 4.35.6.3

Hello. Can I check what version of bbPress you use?
