When should “Posts” be used as opposed to “Blog posts”? Posts don’t seem to be used in any kind of page template far as I can tell.
Does changing the Format (“Standard”, “Status” etc.) of a blog post have any impact on how or where the post is displayed? I know this makes a difference for News posts.
Also, it took me some time to figure out, but any page which is selected under Customize > Static Front Page > Posts page will turn into some sort of site map page and become rather useless. Best to leave that set to “— Select —”.
Hallo!
Core posts aren’t used in the theme and “blog posts” are used instead. The post format is not really used apart from an aid in the backend for editors to organise news and blogposts by audio/video etc.
The “Posts page” customisation function isn’t addressed in the theme, we use the widgets to and templates to create listings.
