Lauren GibbonsI have the exact same issue, and I’m sure it wasn’t there about a month ago.
I posted in the plug-in support forum and got this reply https://wordpress.org/support/topic/home-bread-crumb-not-working/
Also if you turn off ‘Place the home breadcrumb in the trail’ it still shows %htitle%
