What is the best/easiest way to add a sound icon gif next to uploaded audio (mp3) files mime type? I have a working child theme. I do see the areas where it is in the code (css, jquery script and script enqueued in functions.php) but is there a way do it from the admin UI?
Hi Neal
Could you clarify what this is for please. Is it as a play button or just a way of highlighting a specific download link
Matty
Matty,
Good question. It would be to differentiate the file type in the document library and from another page where we would list them. Most of our audio files are audio/web conference recordings that we post for staff who were not able to attend the original session. We often have an accompanying pdf of the presentation slides. The other page is an audio conferences page that will show all those audio files and their accompanying handouts. It would be nice to be able to quickly tell from the list which is the audio file and which is the handout.
Hiya Neal
Currently there is no way to do this. However, I can suggest the use of emojis in the title as a possible workaround, eg,
🎧 Title of piece
Hope this helps in the mean time
Matty
