There are different wordings in webpage upgrade procedure and on, which is supplied by the plugin:
When done, activate the Advanced Custom Fields plugin.
ON THE WEBPAGE, IT SAYS PRO VERSION. I CAN’T FIND PRO VERSION IN PLUGINS SEARCH ANYWAY. IS IT OK TO HAVE THE FREE VERSION?
Install and activate new HT plugins.
YOU HAVE TO ZIP EACH ONE INDIVIDUALLY. COULD YOU ZIP THE FILES IN SOME OTHER MANNOR FOR THE EASE OF UPGRADERS?
HT MOST READ DISRUPTS EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWS IN THAT WIDGET AND THE FOLLOWING WIDGETS. I HAVE THROWN IT OUT.
Add Google account details to Most active widget were necessary.
WHERE EXACTLY DO YOU ADD THE GOOGLE ACCOUNT?
Check Options, Modules, and setup your content modules.
OPTIONS, MODULES ?? WHERE IS THAT?
Regenerate your image thumbnails.
WHY? HOW?
WHERE ARE TASKS? TASKS CONTENT IS NOT SHOWN ANYMORE…
WHERE ARE NEWS? OBVIOUSLY THE CHANGEOVER FROM PODS TO ACF BRINGS A NEW WORKING ORDER, SO I NEED TO GET ACCUSTOMED TO IT. PERHAPS SOME SIMPLE GUIDEBOOK IS ALREADY BEING MADE?
I wasn’t shouting by the way, block letters were used for contrast between plugin instructions and my comments.
Great work anyhow! Keep it up! Thanks
Hello! You need the ACF pro plugin for the new theme. ACF Pro download
This plugin will allow you to access the Options menu in the dashboard. In the Options menu you can switch on news and tasks etc. Your data will still be there, just not visible until you have the pro plugin.
The Most Active widget requires your Google Analytics account details to be precise. Please check guidance for Google Analytics setup and use the 2-step method.
Get the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to resize your images. There is a new setting in the theme to display letterbox size images in the Feature news widget.
Hope that helps.
Luke
Is there any workaround, not having to use the pro version of the plugin or use some other plugin? It is sort of a deal breaker.
Google analytics… I don’t see the box to which you can put the tracking code anymore…
Thanks for the answer.
