Hello,
I can’t seem to get mail notifications to work when a page gets changed.
I have also installed a plug in to send mail over smtp, and on the plug in the email test works, but my test user is still not getting emails about page edits on the pages they asked for.
Didn’t know whether I have missed anything out?
Are you using the HT notifications plugin?
You could try to change the “from” email address (or your default site admin email) to a gmail account or something other than an official department account. Sometimes, mail servers will block email that appears to come from an official address but which is actually sent from the intranet server.
I have switched to a sky email account and nothing. I also have access to the spam software and nothing is being stuck there.
I don’t have gravity forms installed would that make a difference?
What are you using to subscribe to any notifications? Is this for regular pages or forums or other types of content?
It was just regular pages
There is no standard functionality for page change notifications.
You can use the HT Notify plugin to allow users to subscribe to content updates. They would be able to select pages from their profile.
Sorry, yes I am using the HT Notify plug-in and a user has selected pages they want to be notified about when they are changed. I have then changed a couple of the selected pages and they received no email.
Hi Lauren
There’s an update for this plugin on github.
Let me know how you get on!
Luke
Thanks, I’ll give it a try now.
Thank you!! That worked
