Eduardo BernerWe noticed today that comments stopped showing on News posts. You can leave a comment, you can see that there are comments but the comments are not displayed.
Is anyone else noticing this?
We are on version 4.39.10 of the template and version 5.5 of WordPress.
Luke OathamSame here, Eduardo. We experienced quite a lot of problems when testing WordPress 5.5 before upgrading. The comments disappeared, intraverts stopped showing, the customiser didn’t work and even parts of the admin dashboard did not work.
Most issues will resolve if you update plugins. This WordPress update has changed the version of jQuery being used, and plugins using older jQuery code need to be updated.
I’m working on a fix for the GovIntranet comments. And we’re still testing before we roll out version WordPress 5.5 to clients.
First in line for updates will be our clients using GovIntranet 4.99 and then we’ll look at doing the work required to get the changes into version 4.39 – I’ll let you know progress on this.
